I hope you all are off to a better start than me this week! Day one kicked us off with some just good points to remember in our relationship with God. It reminded me again that God wants to be numero uno in our everyday lives. He wants us to pour out our hearts to Him.
1)David prayed
Last week we talked about "who gets that first text message?" theres that silly little saying "Do you run to the throne or the phone?" Too often i use my own 4 step plan 1)worry, 2)come up with a plan 3) give into being overwhelmed 4)pray
2)David cried allowed
Yes God already knows everything but when we cry out to Him in a sense we are admitting to him this is too much for me, i can't do this, but i know You can
3)David poured out his complaint to God
Yikes! Anyone ever heard of venting? You know like when you call your friend and you just pour out your heart on whatever situation, then your in this mess of emotions together, somehow things don't feel any better afterward, misery just loves company! Can you imagine if David had went and vented to his gang of 400 misfits?
(my time is up! anyone have anything special about the last 3?)
4)David rehearsed his trust in God
5)David longed for God's presence
6)David confessed his desperate need
Love to all!!
I can't resist noting one more thing! 1 Samuel 22:2 David's crew sounded a bunch like someone else's! Who would that be?
Okay, for real have got to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
