Day One-A Case of Overkill
Wow, lots of reading today just remember any time we spend in the Word is well worth it. The Word is alive and actively changes us from the inside out. I love Ephesians 5:26(Message) His Words evoke her beauty!
In 1 Samuel 26 we see David make the wise choice once again. Did you catch that in v.12 that it was the LORD who put Saul and his men into a deep sleep. I wonder how aware at that time David was of that or if he just thought they were being super sneaky?
I really liked v23 &24 The Lord gives his own reward for doing good and for being loyal, and I refused to kill you even when the Lord placed you in my power, for you are the Lord’s anointed one. Now may the Lord value my life, even as I have valued yours today. May he rescue me from all my troubles.” If we would only remember this in our daily relationships. Value life. I know we could so jump on this topic with the topic being abortion but thats not what i am referring to here. What about just how we treat our family, friends, acquaintances, enemies in the dailiness of life. Do we treat them in a way that they are valued that we know that at the end of the day we can say "I valued people today so i can rest assured that God will value me." Ugh, i know i don't.
Well i am almost out of time but will mention that, ugh, i felt so heavy hearted for David in ch.27! I really connected with what she said on the bottom of pg.74. Can you relate?
I gotta run, lots of ground covered today, feel free to share!
